:whistling: this question has probably been asked a billion times around the world but i've heard so many contrasting opinions about norton, adware, spybot....& the list goes on. which one should i go with? i'm running on windows xp.....

You can get a free firewall here

The same people have an anti virus programme which is in beta, so you may prefer to use one of these

:help: thanks keith!!!!-i've been so overwhelmed with the varoius software outhere..i'm going to do 1 & 6 since i already have a firewall but now the problem is when i try to download software, it says files are corrupted :whistling:
i'm in the process of trying to fix it thru this forum....geek staff computerwiz says my computer is really messed up....
so now i'm thinking "how many geeks does it take to fix a comuter?" haha :blink:

:blink: thanks kat! i actually tried to download from that page yesterday for spybot. problem is i can't download what i need now due to corrupted files (when i try to run the program after download) so it looks like computerwiz is working with me on this...i'm crossing my fingers & eyes!!!! :whistling:
