I am looking at upgrading the memory that I have (PC far too slow) but wasn't sure what type I needed to buy and didn't wan't to walk into a shop and have the wool pulled over my eyes.

I have run FreshDiagnose and this is what I got .... please let me know if there is any more info needed.

Attached File  Motherboard.txt   1.54KB   177 downloads
Attached File  Memory.txt   1.8KB   128 downloads

If you could let me know what type I needed and a rough $$ that would be great.

Thanks Chris

Contact Tekram here

http://www.tekramonl...ccessories.html

They sell the memory but it looks expensive, you need to know which is the correct RAM Memory for your motherboard then use price check sites for your region

Crucial did not have anything listed

Everest says that I have 2 256MB slots and the current memory type is 2 DIMM.
DRAM slot #1 is 32MB (SDRAM) and DRAM slot #2 is 128MB (SDRAM).

Do I have to get Tekram memory or can I get any 256MB SDRAM ?

Thanks.

You can get the RAM Memory anywhere as long as it is the correct type

Open Everest, click + next to motherboard, click SPD and you should have all the information there, if not, post back

Are you going to get the memory online or from a shop?

If a shop, you can write down everything in SPD and take it there, as long as you get a sale or return option then you will be OK

Very unlikely a good PC shop or online supplier will send the wrong item, however, if you are going to purchase online, e-mail them first with the specs and ask which memory you need
