If I go to "My Pictures", highlight a picture I want to send, and click "Email this file." on the side bar, it comes up with a window asking me if i want to resize it, i continue with out changing it and click ok and then the window disappears and nothing happens, no errors nothing, I'm using AOL 9 SE

May be AOL messenger is not been able to upload that much big file. It happens due to limitation imposed by mail provider. You can only upload files within size limit at one time. And if I'm correct, then that's why AOL is giving message to resize the file. Try resizing the file and then mail.
