When I bought my puter it came with a Plustek UB12 scanner.....worked great. Now I have gone to XP home.
The CD that came with the scanner was for use with only (98). At the Plustek site, I was able to download a package for the scanner, even though they no longer give support for this discontinued product.

When I click on the new icon I get a window with the bundled .....Action Manager (shortcut).......Scanner utility (shortcut)......and Uninstall USB Scanner (shortcut).

When I left click on Scanner Utility I get a control page for the scanner with status AS:: "unable to establish a connection."

When I click on the Action Manager 32 icon....I get a dropdown saying "Can not establish a connection with the USB scanner. Please run the appropriate utility or configuration program" I would do this if I had a clue as to what this meant.

SUGGESTIONS :whistling:

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR ADDICTION AND A POSSIBLE CURE FOR ME.

The devise may not be WXP/W2K compatible. If you are not able to find a wxp/w2k driver at the manufacturers web site, you could try http://www.driverguide.com/ You have to register but it is free. If you can't find a driver to make it work with WXP, it is time to get a new scanner.
