Hi I have just had new HDD installed and my computer now is very noisy like there is a cd in that won't play. Is that usual?

Did the old HD got replaced by the new one?
Or is the new one added to the old one?

Did windows XP got installed on the new one?

The old one was replaced by a new one. Windows xp was installed on new one.

If a shop installed it, take it back and let them listen to the noise, if it is a faulty drive then you want to find out now, not after installing programmes and adding important data

Pc world came and installed it, I just wondered before I rang them up if this was usual.
