I have two questions
Whats better Fat32 or NTFS. I think once i was told Fat32 is faster.
I was also woundering is there away to Calculate the time it take to format a hard drive. If so I have a 120 Gb i wana do

Hello Christopss...

Actually, NTFS is a little faster and the indexing is better.

You can figure about 1 minute per gig when formatting.

Also i would like to know if it is the same for Defragmentation. Or dose it depend on how much stuff is on the computer. Because I only got a day to do this while my dad not home.

Defragging takes quite a while if there is a lot on the machine. It will also depend on how badly fragmented the drive is. The more file fragments it has to move and assemble, the longer it will take. If you will be formatting and reinstalling, you shouldn't need to defrag. Figure anywhere from 60 minutes to several hours. I had one take a bit over 12 hours once, but it was a very large drive and was a very large mess... :whistling:
