trying to install pandavision program, but it keeps telling me to unistall macafee antivirus. I cannot find macafee on the add/remove programs list. I went ahead and unistalled every other macafee program, though. Any ideas?

go to explorer> program files> look for mcafee and try to find the install/setup icon. Open it and try to uninstall it from there.

I would lead you through this process, but I'm not so sure how to do it... It sounds like there might be some leftover registry keys?

1) Run the Panda installation program but only up to the point where you select the installation language and are then presented with a summary of the various technologies which will be installed (Antivirus, Personal firewall, etc)

2) Search your computer, including hidden and system files for the following file: avdetect.ini

It should be located somewhere in C:\Documents and Settings\[YourUSERNAME]\Local Settings\Temp

3) When you have found the file, right-click it and choose Open with, open with notepad

4) In notepad, highlight and delete the ENTIRE section that pertains to other anti virus programmes

5) Save the edited avdetect.ini file (File, Save), and close Notepad.

6) Resume the Panda installation.
