Im having the same problem as a lot of folks here. I ran AdAware, Spybot S&D, CWShredder, and this one dealie called SpySubtract. Nothing helped. I read some topics on here and I downloaded HiJackthis and I cannot open the folder due to the dr watson error. Do I just need to follow the same steps given to other members or do I need special instructions?

Another problem is I was going to reformat my hard drive until I found this forum. However, after I made the first boot disc the CDROM drive, I got the prompt to press any key and I did so, but the system just went through a normal startup. I asked another forum and they said I probably have a faulty disc and it isnt bootable, but yet I booted from that disc and a friend booted from the disc as well to install XP onto barren hard drives. Im using a soyo motherboard, cdrom-primary master, dvdrom-primary slave, hdd-secondary master. Any help give will be very much appreciated. :tazz:

The windows disc is OEM, BTW.
