Does anyone know why the Windows XP Pro SP2 Disk Defragmenter will report that some files can not be defragmented, but when I check the “list” of files not defragmented…there is none. :whistling:

Sounds like a vlassic XP error. Have you tried running Windows Update?

Did you run the defragmenter in normal or safe mode? Disc defragmenter does it's job better when in safe mode.
