i usually never get pop-ups and when i do i am usually able to stop them and fix whatever gave them to me. but today i woke up and have a [bleep] of alot of pop-ups. i ran my mcafee and it found a [bleep] load of files that were bad and i deleted them. but then there where two that wont be deleted or qurentined. they are in a folder called c:\WINDOWS\SmVhbiBDbGF1ZGU. when i go to my windows fold i cant find that file. so i typed it in manually and it brought me there and it dose not show any contents and it say the folder attributes are HIDDEN. i cahnged it so i can see hidden files but i still cant and i cant see this in the windows fold either.

You have an infection. I suggest posting your HijackThis logfile in our malware section, where a malware professional will help you restore order. Good luck. :whistling:

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
