okay. so I had some issues with the darn computer, and was told all I could do was use a restore CD and redo everything.

so I did.

no biggie. I can use the computer now.

I have 3 major issues.
1. I can't play any music, it always gives me an error message about a bad driver.

2. I can't play any games (I am a big fan of playsite that uses Java) or download Java.

and
3. I can't find how to hook up my d*** printer.

I am sorry if the answers are in front of my face...

If anyone is willing to help me, it would be fantastic.... I just want my computer back the way it was before.... and I want to print stuff and listen to gdradio.net....

I could even call anyone if they want to help me over the tele :tazz:

have fun. take care. great day to you all......

Everest Home Edition is free, apart from the dial up fees, which won't be a lot for 3MB, and less than the 20$ the other lot want. Anyway, it's purpose is to provide you with a comprehensive list of what your PC has, which will be useful to you for resolving this, along with anything in the future.

If you google AC 97 you get a list of sites to download the drivers. Don't bother with the RealTek site as it denies all knowledge of it
