Every time I reboot the system I get this screen that says "welcome to warrens computer" in the center of the "box" This "box" is in the middle of the screen, after clicking ok, I then get all the applications to start loading. How can I eliminate this, and get my system to boot like all the others? I had this system given to me, and I don't know where to go in the registry to find this, and delete it.
I hope this was clear enogh to understand.

I'm tempted to say ask Warren, but

Run hijackthis (see link in my signature), then save a log and AS A TEXT FILE (FILE > SAVE AS) then ATTACH IT (do not post) to your next post.

I am not looking for malware. I am looking for what programs or combinations of programs that might cause this behavior. If I notice any malware, I will redirect you to the malware forum.

If you post a hijackthis log in this forum, several trusted techs will come to your house and eat all of your Ritz crackers, Cheeze Doodal and any sweet pickles you have in your fridge. We will also put our feet up on all of your coffee tables. This is no joke. We'll do it. It's not pretty.

regedit
<enter>

navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

in the right pane, do you see

LegalNoticeText

Does LegalNoticeText say WELCOME WARREN under value?

If so, double click it and blank the line (do not delte the registry setting

Do the same for caption

Close regedit
reboot

Fix

BTW, are you part of the neilsen web survey, or is that left behind?

Ok That did it, thank you, I have the Nielsen Ratings running all the time, it is a promo, that pays me for letting them monitor my internet usage. But thanks for asking, my system booted normally. Thank you for time and have a great day.
