I have no, I have no link. I am doing a paper on the diffrent kinds of ports and this number just happen to come up. Can someone help me and let me know what it is that an Ieee1394 does. I have read some on the subject, but I am still a little confused.

What is so special about thie Ieee1394? and why do we use it. If we do.

It is a "chord" that connects your computer to peripheral devices. i.e. printers, scanners, mouse, keyboards, monitor, digital cameras.
