Right here's me specs (Note pretty old)

3.4Ghz P4 Skt 478
512Mb Kingston HyperX RAM
ATI X800 Gfx Card
160GB Maxtor HDD (6Y160MO)
80GB Maxtor HDD (6LO80M0)
Gigabyte Board
Windows XP

Me 80GB is unplugged at the moment
Me 160GB is plugged in but doesn't detect it in bios. It then goes to Intel Boot Manager and states:

Something along the lines that it can't boot and to insert system disk

The thing is when I insert Windows XP disc and press r it comes up saying no hard drive detected to repair.

Can someone help?

You could try using the maxblast software on the drive. If that does not work the drive may have a controller or disk problem and needs replacement.
