Mouse goes off and on. The "device connect and disconnect" is sounding constantly. When it is off I have to use the keyboard to get around. That makes it very slow going. I think it is the Logitech Marble Mouse that is having the problem, but could it be something else. My computer is 2 or 3 years old and put together for me by a friend. Using XP. Hope this is enough info.

have you tried a different mouse on your computer...or your mouse on some other computer yet...even the optical mice are cheap..try a usb mouse
