Hi I have a gateway laptop and a dell desktop. I was able to get all the way to the section on setting the wep code. Now I am wondering if I should see my compters in the network place? Is so have i done something wrong? Or does this only show the compters in the network place if I have it set up for file and print sharing? Any help would be apprectiated.. You people are great!!!
Thanks
Jackie

Hi Jackie,

It's normal to see your own computer in My Network Places, however unless you have setup File Sharing, you will not be able to see any of the other computers connected to your network. If you wish to share files, you should be able to simply continue on with the Tutorial, and hopefully get your computers sharing.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask.. Or if I didn't answer your question.. ask again :whistling: I'll hopefully get it right the second time.
