CANNOT VIEW MY SAVED PICTURES

I am very frusterated because after I save a picture to my picture file folder I am unable to see the thumbnail or preview the picture at all. It only says the name and a picture of a sailboat as the thumbnail....I have tried every thing...HELP PLEASE

Hi,

When you browse to the My Pictures folder, click in the 'View' menu.
Select Thumbnails

Then, click Tools > Folder Options
On the General tab under Tasks, select 'Show common tasks in folder'
