Adobe won't load

When I want to open a pdf file, instead of Adobe opening, Microsoft Picture It! opens and therefore, the form or whatever I'm trying to open cannot be opened. Adobe is installed on my computer, how do I get it to open in these cases?

right click on a pdf file on your computer and choose open with > now browse for adobe (acrobat or proffessional...whichever you have) > tick the box next to "always use this program for files of this type" then press ok
