Hi all. I'm a clueless little country girl applying to a nationally known Art school. I must admit that my artwork is outstanding and I'm confident that I will be accepted to my program. I would love to present an impressive portfolio to my prospective school, but I don't know much about website develoment or HTML. If anyone could just pity me and offer some help with this process (ya know, pretty much hold my hand through the whole thing), please contact me. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks.

do you want someone to make a website for you, or teach/help you to make a website? I'd be happy to make one for you for free (no charge). but if you'd like to learn html, the markup language used to make webpages, i suggest you go visit http://www.w3schools...tml/default.asp
as it says there, it's very easy to learn, and it is .
"W3C (world wide web consortium) Develops Web Standards and Guidelines". Also i have to add that their tutorials are very well written. good luck :whistling:. if u need any more help, you can always ask for it at gtg, or any other forum that concerns webdesign

an easy way to make a photo album if you have no clue whats going on is to use http://picasa.google.com/

when you find the folder you want to use. just ctrl - A to select everything in that folder. then at the top tool bar you want to click Folder than under that click Export As Web Page..

what this does is take you images and makes a thumbnail page in html. it will creat a folder with all teh html pages in it.

all you have to do is name the folder what you want to call the gallery and paste it to your server through your FTP. or you can load it there how ever your site allows. **** make sure its under the root folder and not hidden in other folders, or i might be hard to find.

your address will then look something like this

http://www.YOUR DOMAIN.com/gallery

gallery = the name of your folder.

the folder already has the index.html file in it, so you do not have to add the line to the address.

advanced part.

if you were to open the folder you will see a file called logo.gif. well this is the picasa logo. open photoshop and open the logo.gif. make your own logo with the same demensions and save it as logo.gif then paste the new logo in the folder and overwrite it.

now when you look at the gallery you will have your logo at teh top and it will look like yout own page.

Please ensure that any included links will only lead to material or images which are suitable for all ages
