Long Live geekstogo. Hi, Iím trying to help a friend with his hp laptop zv5000
os xp home he has all the software that came with his laptop, he got this
computer new about three or four yours ago . He keeps getting this popup
(found new hard ware) and he has not added any?. I ask him when did this start
happening, he said after he had his printer unplugged and then plugged it back in
or something like that he was not real sure, this printer is a three in one, printer,
copier and scanner all in one. I forgot to get make and model of the printer but I can
get that the next time I go to his house. I used the printer cd and reinstalled drivers,
still get pop ups after reboot?
Do you think I should uninstall printer and then reinstall it?
There is no internet at his house. So what do you think I should do next?
thanks for any help

I would uninstall the printer, shut down machine, plug in printer, boot up windows and install the driver or let windows search for the correct driver.

Good luck.
