yes i have, the cord was hooked up from the sound card to the monitor in the first place, then i tried the externals into the head phone jack on the monitor, nothin, then taking the cord out all together and hooking externals to the sound card it works perfectly, and yes everything was fine on the control panel settings

yeah i kinda have no choice the bad thing is they are really ugly speaker off a old gateway, the comp i have now i really new not even a year old, so i thought maybe if its a speaker problem i could take it in because its under warrenty

it is under warrenty i got all the warrenty papers, i discovered that the left speaker doesnt work either,on the monitor and going from the monitor to the external

Definitely take it in for them to look at, maybe if you call them to ask for a slot where they can check it quickly while you are there, if it is simple they may do it there and then so you do not need to leave it with them
