I must admit that the video of my wedding is a much funnier story than the telling of it. After much fun and frivolity and many glasses of the good drop it was time for the speeches. My new husband (and father of our three children who were also present) responded to the toast in the semidarkness of a candlelit marquee in a friend's beautiful garden. My eyes were on him as he was giving his speech when everyone started laughing. When I looked around I saw my three years old son standing next to the cake (barely as tall as the table) with his fingers tracing all around the outside of it and his mouth covered in chocolate. He looked up at me dressed in black trousers, white shirt and red bowtie (he'd been a pageboy) and his batman shoes (he refused to attend the wedding at all unless he could wear his batman shoes) and shook his head and said "it wasn't me"!
