For the past week my computer monitor will display ONLY 640x480 16 colors. Each time I change the display to 256 colors it reverts to 16 colors. I'm at the end of my rope.
Please help.

What vidieo carddo you have in the computer? It sound like you have a genric VGA or Super VGA driver installed.
Download and install either
Everest Home 1.51
Belarc Diagnostic Tool
I prefer Everest Home 1.51 but either will do find. When you run it, it will tell you what video card you have installed.
You can also use Start> Run> msinfo32> Componant> Display to see what video adapter.

I hope I'm responding correctly. I have an Intel ® 82810E Graphics Controller.
Thanks,

You are doing just fine.

In the following link is the drivers for that controller. Before you download the file create a folder under C:\.Then down load the file to the folder you have just created. I suggest you create C:\82810 as the folder so it is easy to remember.
Once downloaded into the folder double click on the files to allow it to self install. After you have installed the drivers restart you computer. It may or may not appeared fixed. Restart your computer anyways.
