I have dubbed a video to DVD using a new video/dvd player/recorder. The DVD is automatically burnt into MPEG2 format. The problem is that neither my laptop or my desktop computer read the file as being on the DVD. Both computers play DVD-r's and the DVD is burnt to a DVD-r, so that is not the problem. I have tried downloading a MPEG2 decoder but that hasnt worked as yet. I have double checked that the DVD has burned by playing it in the dvd player/burner that I have burnt it with.

Does anyone know how I can fix this problem so as to be able to watch the dvd on my PC.

Thanks.
