I do not have 'RUN' as a selection listed when I select START>..... I have to start the command prompt through start>programs>accessories>command prompt. This is a new computer. I have never had such a problem and it is just a bit annoying.

Hi wolftatt...

Right click on the Start button and select "Properties". Tick the "Start Menu" radio button and click on "Customize", click on the "Advanced" tab, and scroll down in the "Start Menu Items" list and check the box next to Run command. "Apply" the changes.
