WMP continues to play after i turn it off?

Yah as it says int he topic it keeps playing the file when i shut it off..this is really annoying anyone know why??
And when i use it as toold bar form it wont let me use any of the buttons or watch the visual effects/video does anyone know why??

The answers would be greatly appreciated please thankyou.

Is your machine acting weird and slow with other things too? When you try to close WMP, it just stays there or do you get an error message?

It goes off my screen like its not on but the sound continues to keep playing.

after closing WMP open up task manager and look in applications...do you see windows media player? under the processes tab do you see wmplayer.exe or mediaplayermgr.exe ? if you do see those two processes...what happens if you higlight it and choose end process? does the sound stop?

It somehow miracously fixed it self...What the......both problems are now fixed somehow. I appreciate the help that was given during the time of the problem. Thankyou

The program somehow just fixed itself..over the past days I did not install or uninstall anything.
