hi there,

i am trying to install a new graphics card (Radeon 9550) on my Beta 2 version of Windowns Vista, but for some reason, I am unable to.

i installed the same card on an XP machine and it was fine.

i have also downloaded the Radeon 9550 drivers from the ATI website For Windows Vista, but this still didn't solve the problem.

any tips or suggestions would be appreciated

regards

ryan

what's the problem? you can't boot up? maybe it's hardware... software wise a 9550 should be able to run the basics, but might have glitchy aero glass.

yes i can i bootup and view everything as normal. when opening a window, the window takes a while to load up.

so i go to device manager, and there is an exclamation mark next to my graphics.

device status reads:

"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available. "

i have updated the drivers, done a re install........the lot, no joy.

thanks for replying
