can't go into safe mode

do you try by the start menu......Go start... Click run...type ...msconfig...Click ok...Click the boot tab.. Put check in safeboot then restart

cool no i have never done that. i have copyed all to papper and i will do what you have told me to do tomarrow when i go over their house to visit. thanks so much for your help. i will let you know tomarrow if it worked. :whistling:

DONT DO THE MSCONFIG OPTION (hope i'm not too late)...if you can't get into safe mode the normal way...this may cause you to get stuck in a boot loop

if by pressing f8 you don't get the safe mode menu...

what kind of keyboard is this? usb or ps2?
