ok, my computer was working fine and then i restarted it becuase its been on for a while then i turn it back on and i get this erorr messager saying "system32/config/system was missing or currupt please insert windows xp original disc and select "r" to repair" now here the thing, i dont have a windows xp disc . so, is there any way i can make some kind of start up disc on my other computer to repair this or something?
note: both of my computers use windows xp professional

If it is requesting the CD to repair it's self you are pretty much stuck. Does it say which files you need or is it a genric message?

it tells the exact file that is missing which is the in the topic
