I am literally at my wit's end trying to figure out what's going on with my DVD and CD-RW drives. On the outside, they seem to work just fine (the disc tray will eject). But they don't show up in My Computer and they are marked with error codes (39) in the device manager. I've uninstalled and re-detected them several times, but always with the same error messages. Literally every driver I have found for the drives ends up not working properly. And I downloaded CDGone as well. Still no luck. On top of all that, the troubleshooting guides for the drives won't load. From my experience here in the past, I'm sure I can trust you people. So, what should I do (besides, of course, send it off for repairs)?

DVD drive - HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GSA-4166B
CD-RW drive - LG CD-RW CED 8120B

EDIT: Nevermind; I reinstalled the drives after merging CDGone and everything seems to be working fine. Sorry about the extra topic :whistling:
