Serious Sam 2 - hic up issue

runs wonderful without enemies, then it starts to hic up! when the screen is a BIT crowded :S
wth i cant understand, even using the update patch for correct some errors!!
my rig:

AMD athlon 64 3700+ 2.2gh
2GB system memory corsair xms, low latency
ASUS A8N32 SLI MOBO
XFX geforce 7900GT extreme (520mhz)
HD seagate sata II

now the faq says
Recommended (mainstream):

CPU: ~2.0 GHz Athlon XP or Pentium M or ~2.6 GHz Pentium 4

RAM: 512 MB

Sound: DirectSound3D compliant sound board

(Creative SoundBlaster Live series, nVidia SoundStorm, ...)

Graphics: DirectX 9.0 compliant 3D accelerator

(nVidia GeForceFX 5900 series and GeForce 6200 and 6600 series, ATI Radeon 9500 thru 9800 and X600-X700 series, ...)



Full-experience (high-end):

CPU: ~2 GHz Athlon64, or ~3 GHz Pentium 4

supposedly i should play without any annoying hic ups nor lag, on auto detect video but... :whistling: finally i tried with lower resolutions like 800x600 but it didn't improved at all
i can play call of duty 2 with almost everithing up with no problems

what do you mean "hic up?" does it lag, are you seeing visial defects, sound problems?

Go to audio settings and try to reduce the maxium amount of sounds to 10-15.

The game is very sound-dependant. Unless you have a proper soundcard you will instanly run to problems if you play with more sounds enabled than your CPU can handle (onboard sound systems use the CPU to produce the audio).

Oh yeah, and posting your Sam2.log file here might help too. It's in the folder where you installed the game. Just Copy/Paste it here.

thanks a lot! the problem was the audio i turned it to 15 and now everithing works fine!
