I am not able to pull up Yahoo's homepage. When I click on the Yahoo icon (a big red "Y"), it says "Opening page http://www.yahoo.com/preview" at the bottom of the page. After about 30 seconds, I get a message that says "this page cannot be displayed". I have tried accessing their homepage by typing www.yahoo.com in the address line, but nothing happens. I can still get to my yahoo mail and other features by using the Yahoo Companion tool bar, just cannot pull up their homepage for some reason.

I sent an email to Yahoo about the problem and they told me to go to tools, then internet options, then click Delete files and check the box that says "Delete all offline content" and when finished, restart my computer and that should fix the problem, but it did not do it.

Any ideas on what may be the problem?

Thanks.

For what its worth, you are not the only one having Yahoo problems. I can access general Yahoo pages but cant get in to my email page as it times out when I try to log in to it , and its doing the same to a friend I saw today who told me he cant get in to his yahoo email either.
If I go to My Yahoo after trying to log in and getting the timed out page, My Yaho shows me as logged in but I cant to my email account from there. i can log in and out on ther yahoo pages but whichever I try, my email area is innacessible, the same as my friends` attempts.
We use different PC systems, different browsers, different firewall and anti-virus software, and Spybot isnt showing up any problems. We could access our respective email stuff with no problems up to and including yesterday, but not at all today.

So, I can only assume that Yahoo are having problems generally. Thats no help to you I`m afraid, other than to let you know its not just you having issues with it.
