This will remove that, however, you will need to check how many windows folders you have
Click Start then Run, type msconfig then press enter
Click on the BOOT.INI tab
Click on Check All Boot Paths
If Windows finds a corrupt or additional install of XP, it will ask you if it's okay to delete the entry for the unused/older/corrupt version. Click Yes / OK and then reboot

i tried that, but it didnt give me the option to delete one. .

it shows both installs, but when i click that option, it says "It appears that all BOOT.INI lines for Microsoft operating systems are OK."

and I want to keep WINDOWS2 as its the newest, clean install.

Try moving the one you do not want to My Documents, if it goes, reboot then try boot.ini
