I looked at my scheduled tasks and noticed that Symantec netdetect had the notice "could not start."

I had this happen before, and I fixed it by deleting the task and setting up a new one manually. But when I tried that I saw that I no longer have the ndetect.exe file in my C:\Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate folder.

I have LiveUpdate version 3.0.0.160

When I run LiveUpdate manually, I hardly ever run across definitions and I always have the latest ones installed, so the automatic liveupdate must be working.

Is it a problem that the netdetect.exe file is missing and the task unable to start, or is this normal with my version of LiveUpdate?

Thanks in advance.

edit: Found the "solution": there isn't one but LiveUpdate v3 series does not use netdetect anymore, but instead "Automatic Live Update Scheduler."
