Hey all, need some help. Whenever I attempt to run a video in any program (wmp, realplayer,quicktime....so on) my pc freezes. Once I start a video, it hits the first frame and freezes, yet the audio continues to stream. I then close the program and the audio begins to skip and the program then goes non responding and I have to hit end task till it goes away and then the pc locks up so that I cant do anything, the mouse still moves, however I am not able to select anything from start menu, desktop, and am not even able to bring up the ctrl alt del menu. I mainly tend to use wmp, so i uninstalled and reinstalled it, yet it continues to freeze up. All help is greatly appreciated, as this is very annoying.

Also, I am able to play games so I dont feel that it is a problem w/ the video card. I also have updated the driver on the vid card w/ no effect.

what are your system specs?

keep this window open

highlight the following with your cursor

eventquery /l "system" /v /fi "type eq error" > c:\system.txt
right click, choose COPY

now
start > run, type
cmd
<enter>

right click in the black box, choose PASTE

hit <enter>

when the cursor returns,

highlight the following with your cursor
eventquery /l "application" /v /fi "type eq error" > c:\app.txt
right click, choose COPY

right click in the black box, choose PASTE

hit <enter>

close the command line interface (black box)

attach the following two files to your next post
c:\system.txt
c:\system.txt
