I have windows xp pro. n i was wondering about adding sound files to the system. eg wen a message for "this program is not responding, close etcetc" that it plays a sound file wen it does so! that kinda thing.

do you know of any programs that can do this

if not how can i do it manually, i dont mind a challenege, i'm not brill at pcs but i'm a fast study so if the only way to do it is a complex way plz still say n i'll give it a bash!

do you mean how to change the normal system alert sounds?
or do you mean how to add sound events for ones that don't already have sounds?

for the first
start > settings > control panel > sounds and audio devices > sounds tab > find the event...and change the sound (alternately you can dowload full windows sound schemes if you don't mind searchin for them)

for the second...to my knowledge that's not possible
