Hello, I've seem to have gotten myself into a bind. I just went out and bought new ram for both mine and my mother's computers, and now I cannot get either one to work properly. At first I figured maybe I did buy the wrong kind, but now I can't get it working with just my old ram in there. The power starts up, all lights come on, but the monitor light just flashes, and the monitor itself wont come on. I've tried just using my original ram stick, in both slots and still can't get it to work. Any ideas?

When installing the RAM, did you make sure to ground the static electricity from your body? Any power surges? Any other changes made to the system? Is the video card inserted into the slot nice and tight?

Sometimes it will beep 3 short beeps, and I know that means that it's not recongnizing my ram, but if I take it out and put it back in, it wont beep until about the 10th time I try to get my monitor running again. I'm kinda thinking my motherboard somehow died. Also on my mother's pc, I can get that up and running now with her old ram, but it freezes up just after the loading screen.
