Those games should run okay on you card. You may need to lower some of the settings, but they should be very playable.

I've run Half-Life 2 and SWG on my gForce FX5200 and it works fine.
You should have no problems at all.

no problem, just remember have a play with the grphics settings and see which best suits you without affecting your gaming experience and remember it does depend on the rest of your computer specs aswell as to how well the game plays

umm i have a question i bought an ATI RADEON 9600XT 256mb and i wanted
to know if i would be able to run Half-Life 2. I only ask because ive seen the
Half Life 2 recomendations and it scares me that the FPS of 1028 x 786 are
a little low. but i wanted your guys opinion on it first before i bought a 52$
game.
my comp specs
------------------------
pentium 3.4 w/ht 533 FSB
Ati RAIDEON 9600xt 256mb
500 core clock
298 memory clock
1028mb ddr ram
10/100 net card w/cable
oh and can i play it on the net ok?

Yep you should be fine your memory clock frequency should be higher but it shouldnt matter all that much its just how fast the ram communicates with the gpu just remember turn vertical sync off LOL i had tht prob for awhile dont want that if your desktop has a shi**y refresh rate but thats a good card im upgrading to the 6800gt 256 ddr myself soon gl with HL2.

The FX5200 (My Wife's Computer) and the 9600XT (My Computer) will both Play Counter-Strike Source On-Line, Half Life 2, Battlefield 1942, & MOHPA Excellently.
The FX5200 is, for the Money a Brilliant Card. I've been really Impressed.
And the 9600XT Runs CS Source at 1280x1024 Superbly.
Both Cards are Excellent Value for Money (Depending on the Price u r getting I suppose) and They both Make the Latest games Very Playable.
I am soon to Upgrade to a 6800GT.
I can't wait!
