Noisy Hard Drive

It's a brand new 500 GB Sata 7200 drive. It has that clicky noise, that kind of sounds like static. I've only heard this on older drives. Has anybody else had this problem. If everything is fine then I can live with the noise.

satas are considerably more noisy(and run hotter) when accessing files compared to ide,s,specially if mounted in flimsy tin h/d housings,you do eventually get used to it
