On my home desktop, I have windows 98 first edition. I can no longer connect to the internet after comcast came out and loaded then unloaded their code to switch me to their internet service. Ever since then, I have discovered that I can ping any IP address (ie ping 10.22.67.6) but I cannot ping a host name such as ping www.msn.com. I think my TCPIP portion of the windows OS is corrupted - so now what can I do to repair this without re formatting the drive and reloading windows 98 ????
