Dell Dimension 2350 hangs

Dell XP with SP2 installed works fine, but when I go to start, run, & try to type anything, it will freeze with the first letter & I have to push the power button to shut down. Ctl-alt del, alt-f, or anything else does nothing. Otherwise it works well.

Turns out to be the keybooard. Woks with other computers, but not this one.

is it a usb keyboard? or a ps/2 keyboard? or have you thrown it in the trash and gotten another one?
