I have recently built my own custom PC, i wanted it to be for gaming, but i really didn't know what is good for gaming, so I'm sorta disiapointed with the performance It soots me fine now, but I was interested in maybe pushing my current P4 3.0 to 3.2 - 3.4. I was wondering if what components i have now can handle this, and if that is even possible.
If it is at all possible i would like someone to tell me what can exactly be done with the current system config i have, and if u'd like tell me what I would need to perhaps cool it better if nessesary or if the ram i have is totally worthless. Not sure exact make and model i have if someone posts a reply i will look into the exact make and model of my ram. Currently i have 3 case fans(1 side, 1 rear, 1 front), the power supply fan and a cpu cooling fan.

You can go to this site for over clocking your p4 Click Here
For the wiring I would look in to get some of the wire sleeves like thisclick here
and use small wire ties so you can tie them out of the way where you like
Useing round cable like these help out alot on air flow click here

Thanks dude, you're the man ill look into all of these.......now all i have to do is figure out whats higher on my priority list cooler computer or new drums????

Your computer should be ok in OC th that extent... im running at 4GHz when i need it from 3.4 originaly... im using some OC software for the job at the moment... i cant be bothered to keep rebooting every time i want to change it... take that into considderation
hehe now im running it at 3.876GHz so i think your 3.0GHz will run at 3.2-3.4GHz no problems but do take into thought that this will 1/2 the processors life span because increased heat and voltage wears them down from 10 years to 5 years... but by then i think id want to upgrade anyway
