I was forced to reformat without getting a backup or anything so I'm at...the very basic form of Windows 98. My problem is my net doesn't use a modem but an ethernet card and it's not seeing the device as for that but just has a yellow question mark in the device list. I don't have a modem service either, just the SBC Yahoo DSL service. I know for sure my ethernet card works because I'm on the net right here with my mom's laptop. I searched for a modem anyways and Win98 can't find one either... I'm lost. :whistling:

Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thank you for your time.

No, I haven't... :whistling: I don't have any other cd's for hardware or anything.

Where can I find the driver?

and...

Is there any other way I can get the drivers from this computer to put onto the desktop at all?

Thanks again for your time.

If you can post the make and model of the ethernet card, we can find the drivers so you can use a computer to download them, save to a floppy or CDR disc and then install them

I'm not really sure...there is a couple labels on the card. I'll put them here though

GTS *the circle like copyright only with R in it*
FC-518LS
K335H1

^ That's all on the front of the chip on a black box stick up in a rectangel.

The sideways box with a bunch of silver wires coming down off if it onto the chip says:

RMC *in a design*
RTL8139D
33144S1
320E Taiwan

On the back with the sticker there is a pin number and a serial number:

P/N: 18-0B-F200-B100

S/N: AHN6309003269

Made in China

Looking more on the chip, on the green part on the front is says:

CEFC *with another C in it)
05-01-0448-02

Is that what you needed?
