Ok my husband was on the yahoo movie site and wanted to watch the spiderman 3 preview. Whatever he did it got quicktime on my computer and it took over!! None of the videos or slideshows are showing up. It says I need quicktime 5 or higher to view the media. I dont want to use quicktime.

The first thing I tried was deleting it. It did not show up on my add/remove programs list. So I then did a file search and searched for any quicktime files and did a shift delete. Still did not work. So then I decided to update my windows media player, I figured that would reasign the windows player as the default player. nope! I still get that stupid error msg when I view my profile. it says it needs to use quicktime. ARRRG!!!

If you go into Start->Control Panel, there should be a quicktime icon. If you click on that you can un-associate the file types with it, and it should use Media Player.

Let me know.

Thanks
