My Dell 1100's screen is completely white when I turn it on. It started to go slowly, would be white in one part of the screen or the loss of the screen would creep up from one corner and eventually cover the entire screen.

School is getting ready to start again, so I'm in need of a computer. Has anyone had this problem, or know whats going on?

Have any idea what are the last few programs, hardware, anything that was done with the computer prior to this happening? Was it only for school, or also for games? How long has this been going on, and when specifically does it happen. Do you see the dell logo and THEN the white screen comes on..?

Info's the key! I'll be watching

I hadn't added any new programs or hardware for over a month. I used it mostly for school and music downloads. I've never played any games on it, other than the ones it came with.

It went on for about 3days, before it went completely.

No, the logo doesn't pop up. It just straight to it.

When it was starting to go, I could tilt my screen back so the notebook would almost be completely flat, and the white would go away.
