Home Network not working

My home network consists of 2 PCs with wireless adapters (1 runs XP Pro; the other XP Home) and 1 hardwired PC running XP Pro. Internet sharing is working okay - although the wireless connections are often slow and intermittent.

What's bugging me now is that I cannot access shared files on the 2 wireless PCs. I can view the workgroup computers and after a long pause, they will open - but when I try to access one of the shared files, I get an "Access Denied" message that says that I might not have sufficient permissions to use this network resource. I can access files on both wireless PCs from the wired one.

I've checked the permissions of the folder that I'm trying to share and I gave "everyone" full control.

What am I doing wrong?

I found a post from an earlier date with a similar problem to mine - Professor Kirke (July 10, 2006) - I tried the suggestions given by the tech, Dan G without success. I can see the all the workgroup computers from each of the 3 machines: Photo = wireless running XP Pro; Music = wireless running XP Home; the wired PC is Main. From Main, I can access shared files on Music, but cannot connect to Photo. From Photo, I can access shared files on Music, but not Main and from Music, I cannot access either of the other two. I CAN access the shared printer from all three machines.

I have noticed that there are several of us having similar connectivity problems. When I searched the forum at first, I didn't see all these other posts.

Thanks for any help.
Connie

Okay - 32 views and no responses. Hmmmm.
I have read the tutorial and several of the posts from people having similar problems. I've gone through the setup several times and STILL cannot get the file sharing to work. In addition to that, Windows Firewall keeps re-establishing itself on the wireless machines.
I am SO frustrated I could just scream!! I just can't figure out why I can't get this to work!! When I first set up the network over a year ago, everything worked just fine.
