Having serious troubles with Drwatson, I have also been unable to shake ezula, maxspeed and smartfinder I followed all the steps posted in the you must read this before posting a log to no avail thank you for your help here is the log:

Please download and install these programs - don't run them yet!!

Please download and unzip
About:Buster to a folder. Inside the folder is a readme file that has instructions on the use of the program.
AboutBuster MUST be updated before you use it.
Start AboutBuster, click the update button, check for update, drag the box to the side and hit download updates, close the box . Don't run it yet.


Please download and install AD-Aware.

Download and unzip cwsserviceremove to your desktop. use either link below:

Open Windows Explorer & Go to Tools > Folder Options. Click on the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and untick "hide extensions for known file types" . Now click "Apply to all folders"
Click "Apply" then "OK"

For anyone using Windows XP, 'Search' will not automatically show hidden files even if your folder options settings are set to do that. Do this so you can see hidden files and folders - click here http://www.davehigha...ds/xphidden.zip to download xphidden.zip. Extract xphidden.reg from the zip file and save it to the desktop. When done, double-click the xphidden.reg and when asked to merge say yes.

Please download WinHelp2002's DelDomains by right-clicking on the following link, and choosing "Save Target As":

Save the file to the desktop. Then go to the desktop, right click on DelDomains.inf, and choose Install. You may not see any noticeable changes or prompts; this is normal.

If you get an error when deleting a file. Right click on the file and check to see if the read only attribute is checked. if it is uncheck it and try again.

4. Run AboutBuster . This will scan your computer for the bad files and delete them. Save the report (copy and paste into notepad or wordpad and save as a .txt file) and post a copy back here when you are done with all the steps.

5. Scan with AdAware and let it remove any bad files found.

6. Clean out temporary and TIF files. Go to Start > Run and type in the box: cleanmgr. Let it scan your system for files to remove. Make sure these 3 are checked and then press *ok* to remove:

Temporary Files
Temporary Internet Files
Recycle Bin

7. Double click on the cwsserviceremove and when asked to merge say yes.

8. Run CW-Shredder - Hit the FIX button - let it run and fix what it finds.

9. Reboot into normal mode.

10. Download the Hoster from here http://members.aol.c...bee/hoster.zip. Press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit Program.

11. Download and run this online virus scan:
http://housecall.tre.../start_corp.asp
Make sure you check "AutoClean"

then reboot your computer into safe mode.

Launch Notepad (start > run > “notepad”), and copy/paste the box below into a new text file. Select “all files” in the “save as type” field. Save it as FindFile.bat and save it on your Desktop.

dir C:\WINDOWS\system32\??plorer.exe /a h > files.txt
notepad files.txt

Locate FindFile.bat on your Desktop and double-click on it. It will open Notepad with some text in it.


Post a fresh Hijack This log to see how we did. and also the log from the findfile.bat, thanks!

Hello

Go here and install cleanup!

Restart your computer into safe mode.

Open cleanup! and click the "ClickUp!" button. Don't have it log you off when it asks.

Have hijackthis fix the following:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [x77W37X] offlient.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [gwo6RXbmi] advlt1.exe

When you fix those two entries, go to start-search-files and folders. Search for explorer.exe . When it's done searching, find the one that is 380 KB. Also the date on it should be 12/22/2004 1:19 PM . When you have identified that file, right click it and delete it. Empty recycle bin.

Restart your computer back into normal mode.

Post a new hijackthis log.

I was unable to locate the explorer.exe file you mentioned but I was able to run cleanup and remove the files with hijackthis.

Please boot your computer into safe mode.

Fix the following using hijackthis:

Then go to start-run type in cleanmgr . When it loads check all the boxes and click OK for it to clean out the stuff. When it's done restart your computer in normal mode. Post a new hijackthis log.

Everything looks great --- your HijackThis log is completely clean. ;)
Below I have included a number of recommendations for how to protect your computer in order to prevent future malware infections. Please take these recommendations seriously; these few simple steps can stave off the vast majority of spyware problems.

1) Please navigate to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and download all the "critical updates" for Windows. This can patch many of the security holes through which attackers can gain access to your computer. I cannot stress enough how important this is.

2) In order to protect yourself against spyware, you should consider installing and running the following free programs:

Ad-Aware SE
A tutorial on using Ad-Aware to remove spyware from your computer may be found here.

Spybot-Search & Destroy
A tutorial on using Spybot to remove spyware from your computer may be found here. Please also remember to enable Spybot's "Immunize" and "TeaTimer" features.

SpywareBlaster
A tutorial on using SpywareBlaster to prevent spyware from ever installing on your computer may be found here.

IE-SPYAD
A tutorial on using IE-SPYAD to prevent spyware from ever installing on your computer may be found here

Keeping these programs up-to-date and running them regularly can prevent a great deal of spyware hassle.

3) Please consider using an alternate browser. Mozilla's Firefox browser is fantastic; it is much more secure than Internet Explorer, immune to almost all known browser hijackers, and also has the best built-in popup blocker (as an added benefit!) that I have ever seen. 4) Also make sure to run your antivirus software regularly, and to keep it up-to-date.

I notice that you do not seem to be running antivirus software. This is somewhat suicidal in today's digital world. AVG makes an excellent free antivirus client; it may be downloaded here. Please make sure to run your antivirus software regularly, and to keep it up-to-date.
