In the Drive Configuration section, check the following:

SATA Primary Drive is set to....Auto
IDE Primary Drive 1 is set to.....Auto

Are these settings both set to Auto?

Looks good...

Let's try something on that pause. Open Control Panel and double click on the System icon. Under the "Advanced" tab, in Startup and Recovery, click "Settings". Put the tick back in the box that you removed a bit ago...now change the 30 in the little time field to 0 and re-tick the box. Click the "Edit" button. In the boot.ini file, change the text in red below (from 30 to 0) and click "File", then "Save". "Ok" out of all open windows and reboot.

Any change?

[boot loader]
timeout=0
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect

Is that from power on to desktop? Or is that a delay before it starts to load Windows?

Try this for the F1 Prompt...

Enter BIOS Setup. Find Report Keyboard Errors and disable it (No Report)...save the setting and exit BIOS. See if it boots to Windows without the prompt.
