hercules soundcard driver wont work on windows xp

We installed the hercules muse lt soundcard and I downloaded a driver, but after getting the soundcard working, everytime we reboot, windows won't open, we get an error message that reads.."Check for BIOS updates. Disale Bios memory options: caching or shadowing.
Use safe mode to remove or disable componets..etc etc.
I went to system restore to remove the driver.
Is there any way to get this soundcard working ? I saw a message on a cached google site that others have had this problem with this driver and windows xp.
Anyone know anything?
