Just run Activescan again and paste the results here. If you do actually have a virus, hopefully Activescan will find and disinfect it.

*double-click on Killbox.exe to start the program.
*In the killbox program, select the Delete on Reboot option.
*In the field labeled Full Path of File to Delete enter the items listed below ONE AT A TIME (EXACTLY as it appears, please double check to make sure! I would just copy each file path and paste it in the field):

C:\WINDOWS\inf\dlmax.inf
C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\YPSR\Quarantine\ppq240.tmp
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\hijackthis\backups\backup-20050405-204110-977.dll

Press the button that looks like a red circle with a white X in it after each one. When it asks if you would like to delete on reboot, press the YES button, when it asks if you want to reboot now, press the NO button. Do this after each one until you have entered the LAST file path I have listed above. After that LAST file path has been entered press the YES button at both prompts so that your computer restarts.

While it's restarting tap the F8 key continually until a menu appears, use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.

Using Windows Explorer, delete the following item (in bold):

C:\Documents and Settings\user\Favorites\Fun & Games\Casino Palace.lnk

Even though there isn't indication in your log, CWS items keep popping up each time you run ActiveScan. So let's do this:

3) CWShredder - Download it and save it to your desktop.

Reboot into Safe Mode.

Run CWShredder:
-Next, click on the: ‘Fix’ button
-Follow the prompts, and press OK

While in Safe Mode, run HiJackThis and put a check next to these items, click fix checked:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {382FEDA5-D2FE-7F48-C4FB-0EBB265F97AB} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {9887C15C-49C8-4058-ABD2-60BD2414C229} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {EA9F32C8-B4D6-2FE7-C577-8FC550F0BADC} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {F2D6E42D-DC5F-61C0-B422-BCCE80BD350E} - (no file)

Reboot into Normal Mode.

Download the Hoster from here http://members.aol.c...bee/hoster.zip. Press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit Program.

If those items are still there after fixing in Safe Mode, run HiJackThis while in normal mode, but please do not connect to the internet and do not have any open windows (specifically Internet Explorer windows since these are browser helper objects) while running HiJackThis.

Post a new HiJackThis log.

*Download and install Registrar Lite version 2.00
*Double click the purple Registrar Lite icon on your desktop.
*Copy the line below and paste it into the "Address" field (located at the top) of the program:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects

*Click the "Go" button.
*On the right-hand side it will load all of your BHOs (you'll see a bunch of numbers)
*Locate the following entries:

{382FEDA5-D2FE-7F48-C4FB-0EBB265F97AB}
{9887C15C-49C8-4058-ABD2-60BD2414C229}
{EA9F32C8-B4D6-2FE7-C577-8FC550F0BADC}
{F2D6E42D-DC5F-61C0-B422-BCCE80BD350E}

*Right click on each one and go to "Delete" (doublecheck to make sure you're only deleting the entries above!).
*Exit Registrar Lite.

Restart your computer, run HiJackThis, and post a new HiJackThis log.
